Our range of multi-agency safeguarding training courses are suitable for all statutory, voluntary and independent staff who work with children, young people, families and vulnerable adults.

We’re not just any training agency. All our trainers have worked on the frontline in relation to safeguarding issues. They have first-hand experience and knowledge in how best to spot the signs that something is wrong, and how to deal with it when your suspicions are raised.

The OTC team

Linda O’Neill

Linda is our managing director.

She develops our bespoke training packages to meet all organisational needs and is passionate about improving outcomes for children, young people, vulnerable adults and their families. This can be achieved through the high quality and tailored training packages that OTC offers.

With a background in finance and having spent many years in senior management roles in the UK and Australia, Linda has experience in leadership and strategic critical business decision making.

She is chairwoman of the local governing body within a local SEND school and also as a director for a multi-academy trust. She believes strong governance, training and leadership are key to ensuring a child-centred approach to all teaching.

Linda is Safer Recruitment Consortium Trained.

Patrick O’Neill

Patrick spent 25 years as a serving police officer with West Yorkshire Police, where he had numerous senior roles including Head of Child Protection, with responsibility for protecting children and vulnerable adults including the effective management of dangerous and sexual offenders.

Patrick implemented the Force Safeguarding Strategy ensuring there was a positive approach to child safeguarding (including child sexual abuse, physical abuse, neglect and child sexual exploitation), adult safeguarding (including domestic abuse and abuse of vulnerable adults) and public protection.

Patrick was directly involved in the multi-agency approach to safeguarding primarily through local safeguarding partnerships, preventing offences, robustly managing dangerous offenders and providing high level support to victims.
